# Advanced MCP Plugin — by AskTam

A WordPress plugin that exposes full AI control over your WordPress site via the **Model Context Protocol (MCP)**.

## Authentication
|
|
|
|
API Key based — simple, secure, no OAuth overhead for server-to-server AI use.
|
|
|
|
- Keys managed in **WP Admin → AskTam MCP → API Keys**
|
|
- Per-key capability scopes: `read`, `write`, `admin`, `woocommerce`
|
|
- Pass key in request header: `X-MCP-API-Key: your_key_here`
|
|
|
|

## Installation
|
|
|
|
1. Upload `advanced-mcp-plugin/` to `/wp-content/plugins/`
|
|
2. Activate via WP Admin → Plugins
|
|
3. Go to **AskTam MCP → API Keys** → generate a key
|
|
4. Add endpoint to your MCP client
|
|
|
|

## Requirements
|
|
|
|
- WordPress 6.0+
|
|
- PHP 8.0+
|
|
- WooCommerce 7.0+ (optional, for WC tools)
